About Us
Unidentified Film Organization.
UFO PICTURES - Founded by a filmmaker for the filmmakers. Telling unique stories that otherwise wouldn't be told and produced.
Our Story
From a $2,000 Budget to a Dozen Features
UFO Pictures was officially founded in 2012 in New Mexico — but its roots stretch back a decade earlier to the University of Connecticut, where UFO stood for UCONN Film Organization.
While founder Micah E. Brandt was completing his Bachelor's Degree, a colleague secured a $2,000 budget each semester to produce a short film. Those early productions planted the seed.
After graduating UCONN, Brandt relocated to San Francisco to pursue his Master's studies, bringing the company's spirit with him. Five years later, he officially formed UFO Pictures as a production company.
Since its founding, UFO Pictures has produced over a dozen feature films, documentaries, and short films — each one a testament to independent filmmaking done with intention and purpose.
Spanning two continents (North America & Europe) and nearly a dozen states, UFO is everywhere in this universe! Soon coming to a state near you!
